Domestos Disinfectant is using pretty weird print ads these days. At first one would ponder what these little protrusions are. I at first thought they were velcro for a better toilet handle grip. In fact, the print advertisement is for a disinfectant used to ‘kill millions of germs.’ The little protrusions are actually miniature tombstones and crosses which would explain why the ad says “millions of germs must die.”

If you run Google Adsense and are wondering why you might not be making as much money as you once did here’s a possible explanation.

Say you start running Adsense on your website with 1 large rectangle. You’re happy making $1 per click. A week later you decide to add a few more Adsense banner ads to your site. You notice that the amount you earned per click has dramatically dropped.

The explanation is simple. When you run Google Adsense with 1 ad you’re showing the top 4-5 paying ads. When you add more Adsense banners to your website, you’re offering the top 12+ paying ads on your site. It’s 9/11 and no I didn’t forget. In fact, we will never forget. On 9/11 I was only 16 years old and still in High School. This is Asahi, a beer pouring robot from Japan. It can refrigerate up to six cans of beer, two mugs, and with a simple push of a button it will pour a beer into the mug with perfect head every time. It gets even better too, this thing is free! Kind of. You have to collect 36 seals found on specially marked Asahi beer, but I wouldn t have a problem with that. Now if I could only teach it to make me a sandwich and cuddle.

Maybe I’m old fashioned or left brained, but I feel that print advertising seems to be missing something. Optical illusions.
