James Pattersons Cross In-Book Ads

The Car Blogger reports that when he recently sat down to read the James Patterson book, “Cross” featuring the hero Alex Cross that there was a long detailed description of a Mercedes Benz dealership. The author even italicizes words in the word “intellect and emotion” to describe the Mercedes Benz R350. It would suprise him as well as I if Mr. Patterson was receiving some money from the book placements.
“So we stopped at the Mercedes dealer…Jannie and Damon ogled a silver CLK500 Cabriolet convertible, while Ali and I tested out the spacious front seat of an R350. I was thinking family car — safety, beauty, resale value. Intellect and emotion.â€
