Get Your Emails Read Right Away
Business Tips July 13th, 2006
Most professional business people have their e-mail boxes arranged in descending order. The most recent message received will be the first read.
As everyone is naturally lazy, the business professional you write or respond to will open their most recent emails first. Those first emails can be yours if you make magic with what your email service offers you.
Let’s say its 5:00pm and your checking your email the last time before going home. You decide to send the responses right then and there. But wait, the person your writing to will not check their email till 6:30 or 7:00am. Instead, select the option that allows the email to be sent out at a designated time, such as 6:00 or 7:00am so your email will be one of the first ones that they see and will likely get you a quicker response.
If you really want a response, send the email on a Wednesday and select the option that has it arrive Thursday morning. Thursdays are the days business professionals are most likely to respond to inquiries.
