Blades Of Glory Movie Trailer

Videos January 15th, 2007

If you don’t go out and see this upcoming Will Ferrel movie, you are missing out. It’s like ‘Anchorman’ but better! In 2002, two rival Olympic ice skaters were stripped of their gold medals and permanently banned from men’s single competition. Presently, however, they’ve found a loophole that will allow them to qualify as a pairs team.ÂÂ

YouTube Verizon Wireless Viral Clip

Online Marketing, Videos December 14th, 2006

I was surfing YouTube today and noticed that Verizon Wireless (cell phones) has created a little immitation videos of those ‘through the years’ type videos that users create and upload on to YouTube. The video is pretty neat if you are big into seeing old cell phones from the 1980’s gradually transitioned into the 2000’s phone designs.

I would find this video much more appealing if the developers had transitioned the age of the guy in relation (slowly wrinkling) in addition to just giving him a different phone and different outfit in every video frame. If you want to know what I’d like to see done differently, look at this OldeEnglish user’s video of a ‘picture everyday’ video. See, now that video made you laugh didn’t it?

1940 Nazi Propaganda Video

Videos December 9th, 2006

This video is an exerpt and subtitled in English. It’s interesting that Hitler convinced an entire nation to believe in this stuff. I’m only putting this video up to show how effective this type of ‘propaganda marketing’ can be on an entire country.

Mary Poppins Cult Horror Film Trailer

Videos December 6th, 2006

This ’spoof’ of the Mary Poppins movie will make you think this is a commercial for an upcoming cult horror movie rather than the pep-in-your-step original film. Everyone should defenitely pass this one on.

Think of an idea for a DORITOS commercial. Shoot it and upload it on YouTube. If the judges place it in the top 5 videos, you’ll win $10,000 and a trip to Miami for a private Super Bowl XLI viewing party. Then, if America votes it their favorite, your video will be aired as a real DORITOS commercial during the Super Bowl XLI broadcast.

Microsoft Office 2007 Viral Video

Videos November 29th, 2006

In this Microsoft Office corporate video we are introduced to the staff of Microsoft partying and milking cows in Space suits. It’s a pretty funny viral video from Microsoft if you manage to spend 3:26 watching everything from a Sweidish girl punching out holes in cheese to an old naked man sleeping in a children’s pool.

Kansas City Shovel Installation

Videos, Awareness November 29th, 2006

St Louis based Rogers Townsend developed this overly long video for the Outreach International in Kansas City, MO. The project was designed to draw attention to the growing work the group has done in the area. They placed nearly a thousand shovels throughout the city park and the stunt has garnered a great deal of attention.

Taser International Executives Get Zapped

Videos November 20th, 2006

AdFreak had an interesting look at the UCLA Taser incident in which a middle eastern student got zapped time and time again by campus cops for not having his ID to get into some place. The video from AdFreak depicts Taser International Executives taking some pretty harmful (but non lethal) shocks. The screams freak the hell out of me!

Will It Blend - Secret Coke Promotion?

Videos November 15th, 2006

coke secret promotion

A new website called “Will It Blend” features a man in a lab coat blending together random and odd mixtures. The videos are pretty high quality and the website follows modern Web 2.0 standards of design (something Coke could afford to do). There are a total of 5 videos on the site and 2 of them feature Coke mixtures; Coke and Chicken = Cochiken and Coke Can Smoothie. Sounds a little like when Wal-Mart tried to pull the sheets over our eyes with “Wal-Marting Across America.”

Buicks Viral Tiger Woods Video

Videos November 14th, 2006

In my day, Buicks were for the conservative Republican Grandma and Grandpa. Those marketers could never be well targeted online. Hell, I doubt any Buick owner would know how to turn on a computer. Nonetheless, Buick is banking that a 60 second video clip of Tiger Woods on YouTube with grainy footage and audio drops will bring in the buyers and launch a viral video phenom. I only wonder if Grandma and Grandpa Buick will start fidgeting with the computer speakers when they hear [the constant] audio [drops].

Earlier this week, iLike secretly added YouTube music videos to their site. Clicking on a link on iLike will search for related videos on YouTube which are embedded into the iLike web template. By the way, Tech Chrunch has an excellent YouTube Video Download Toolthat will allow you to save YouTube videos to your hard drive.

Wendys - Bureau For Better Value

Online Marketing, Videos November 2nd, 2006

Shocked by the widespread epidemic of tastless fast food value menu items, Wendy’s has launched the Bureau For Better Value in order to educate consumers of low cost fast food that actually tastes good! Sounds like a self centered marketing ploy with a little cornyness around the edges. The “MRM Worldwide campaign” features a website made by Wendys which teaches consumers the value and good taste behind the Wendy’s 99¢ value menu with Flash videos and alot of interactive goodies. There’s also a collection of black and white videos with amusing voiceover dialogue. There’s even a video of Frosty and Fries in battle!
