Online Marketing November 30th, 2006
Google has secretly launched a CPM (cost per million impressions) contextual advertising program and has been testing it since October 1st, 2006. Google has been targeting Fortune 1000 companies says John Chow. Chow writes that publishers have been “hand-selecting sites…that they want to put in front of Fortune 1000 companies. The goal being to sell these big companies display and video ads at a very high CPM.”
Publishers are introduced with a flat CPM rate with Google and the respective advertisers involved in the program.
