Earlier this month I reported on the Yahoo! Favorite Icon and Slogan contest in which Yahoo users could vote for their all time favorite ad icon. The results are in… drumroll please.

The 2006 ad icon award goes to KFC’s Colonel Sanders and the Kool-Aid Man! What did America pick as their all time favorite slogan? “Don’t Mess With Texas” I can almost guarantee you all the people down in Texas had some kind of rally to get the most votes for that slogan. Unfortunately, there will be no parades or sharades for the winners. It would sure be nice to have the Burger King guy, Tony the Tiger, Tu-Can Sam, and the M&M guys in a parade to celebrate this election. Then again, we’d have to leave poor old Joe Camel sitting on the sidelines coughing up a lung.
