Bike Portland points out that a former Starbucks manager, Fabian Mills, was told by his district manager that is was unprofessional and against company policy to ride his bike to work and meetings. Mr. Mills was then transferred to another store 16 miles away. Maybe they relocated Mr. Mills to encourage him to go and buy a car. With the salary Starbucks pays, I’m not suprised Mr. Mills could not afford a car or insurance. Mr. Mills has thus quit his job with Starbucks.
